"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14). All a preacher is, is simply a proclaimer. The power is in the message, the gospel, the word of God. It is the power of salvation (Rom 1:16). It draws us to God, and it strengthens us in God. "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom 10:17). We strive to be stronger in faith each day. That only happens by listening to God.
